Charlwood is situated off the Wetherby Road to the east of the town centre and consists of 22 flats completed in 1986.

Facilities include an alarm service and estate management services.

Harrogate is about 12 miles north of Leeds and was the most fashionable spa in northern England in the Victorian and Edwardian eras. The town is famous for its crocuses which in the Spring can be seen on the Stray - a 200 acre common from which a path links the Valley Gardens with Harlow Carr Gardens; now part of the Royal Horticultural Society following the merger with the Northern Horticultural Society in 2001. The gardens stand on what was once the part of the Forest of Knaresborough, an ancient royal hunting ground and springs of sulphur were discovered here in 1743.
