Malvern: Malvern Chase is mentioned in Domesday and was a large area of forest and marshland. The six townships of the Malverns are set around a nine mile chain of hills which rise from the Worcester plain. The town's motto 'I will lift up mine eyes to the hills' dates back to the eleventh century and the beautiful Priory Church. It contains some of the finest medieval glass in England with a depiction of the Coronation of Mary in the north transept window given by Henry VII.

Today the town has many amenities and facilities with new supermarkets, swimming pool, active theatre, many fine restaurants, winter gardens, golf and fishing. There are mainline railway stations in Malvern Link and Great Malvern and bus services along Worcester Road. Rising above the towns are the magnificent Malvern Hills seen across the plains providing exceptional walking country and with fine views towards Wales. On the hilltop is the British Camp, one of England's best Iron-Age hill-forts, once the home to more than 2000 Britons.
