Hailsham House is a 90 bed Care Home with Nursing and 31 Care Suites, all for people with dementia and mental health issues. The home is divided into four social groups all specializing in care of residents with dementia type illnesses. There is also a separate building of “care suites” which residents with dementia can rent or buy on a leasehold basis.

Hailsham House Care Suites offer supported living for people with moderate/severe dementia. The care suites provide a safe and secure environment where personal and nursing care is available 24/7 under the supervision of Registered Nurses.

Each suite has more space than a nursing home bedroom. This gives residents and their families the space to spend good quality time together in privacy and comfort. There is a choice of studio or one bedroom suites all with en-suite shower rooms.

Hailsham : Hailsham is mentioned in Domesday as Hamelesham and had two salt-houses. It is situated on the River Cuckmere at the foot of the South Downs and its name is thought to derive from 'Haegel's homestead or enclosure'. The town grew largely as an agricultural centre for the surrounding area and in the 13th century Henry III granted a charter for a market. Later it became well known for its rope making in particular 'hanging ropes'.
