Hugh Boscawen Almshouses consists of ten flats for people resident in Tregony. Facilities include non-resident management and emergency alarm system. Tregony was mentioned in Domesday as Trelingan and was a town in the middle ages before the River Ruan, a tributary of the River Fal, silted up. The village lost its trade as it was no longer navigable so far inland and settlements further down river and nearer the coast grew in importance. Fore Street is particularly wide and has an unusual Grade II clock tower with a lead sheathed wooden cupola. Tregony Castle no longer exists. Tenure: Licence General Information: Managed by Hugh Boscawen Almshouses. If you want to call the management company direct call 01872 530240, or if you want to contact the development direct, call |
