Torhaven is situated close to shops at the southern end of Abbey Road. The development consists of 50 flats and was completed in 1986.

Torquay is a seaside resort on the south coast well known for its panoramic setting overlooking Tor Bay. It probably got its name from 'a quay near Torre' with reference to a jetty built by the monks of Torre Abbey in the 12th century. Sheltered by its famous red cliffs, Torquay‘s mild climate supports palm trees and sub-tropical flowers and as a prime health resort has attracted visitors for over a century. The superb beach and harbour with its fine marina provide a centre for all summer sports.

Although deep in the seclusion of South Devon, Torquay is easily accessible by road and rail. There are many interesting places to visit apart from the usual attractions and Dartmoor and the spectacular Devon coast offer endless opportunities for walks and views. Just outside the town is Kent's Cavern known to have been inhabited during the Ice Age.
