Sysonby Mews consists of eight two and three-bedroom cottages. Melton Mowbray is an ancient market town about 18 miles south-east of Nottingham. The name Melton is thought to come from 'middle farmstead' and Mowbray denotes manorial ownership by the de Mowbray family in the Middle Ages. It lies in open rolling countryside on the River Eye and is well known for its hunting fraternity. Originally known as Medeltone in Domesday it had two mills and today is famous for Stilton cheese which must be made from milk produced in the area. The 17th century Hudson Bede House is partly a museum and Anne of Cleeves House was given by Henry VIII to his fourth wife.
