Coverdale Court consists of 14 one and two-bedroom cottages and bungalows with a 60+ age covenant.

Facilities include non resident management and emergency alarm service.

Yeovil was mentioned in Domseday as Givele and had two mills its name deriving from 'place on the River Gift' an earlier name for the River Yeo. In the later middle ages the town produced cheese and then in the 18th century became well known for producing leather goods.

The centre has some attractive old buildings including Newton Surmaville and the Borough Museum now housed in Hendford Manor Hall. Today the town is the home of Westland, one of the largest helicopter makers in Europe. Nearby there are many interesting places to visit including several National Trust properties and The Fleet Air Arm museum at Yeovilton.
