Southmoor Gardens is a gated estate and consists of ten attractive houses set around beautiful gardens.

Facilities include an estate manager who looks after the general wellbeing and security of the development.

Kingston Bagpuize was mentioned in Domesday as Chingestune in Berkshire and had a fishery in the Thames worth five shillings. It is a large village situated in the Vale of the White Horse about six miles from Abingdon and about ten miles southwest of Oxford. It is now bypassed by the main A420 to the north and village shops include a post office and village stores, hairdresser and beauty salon. Village pubs are mostly near or along the old Faringdon Road. The unusual  village name is thought to derive from the Norman 'Bachepuz' family who added their name to the original name Kingston in the 11th century.
