Wallace Court is situated off South Vennel close to shops in the town centre and Lanark station. The development consists of 40 flats with communal facilities completed in 2006.

Facilities include a resident manager and alarm service, lift, residents lounge, laundry and guest facilities.

Lanark is an ancient market town and former county town and was already an important centre in the 12th century. New Lanark developed in the 18th century to accommodate the growth in the cotton mills and there are spectacular falls along this part of the Clyde. Today the town serves the local agricultural community and caters to the tourist industry. A statue of William Wallace can be seen in front of St Nicholas Church thought to have one of the oldest church bells in Britain.
