Reeve Court Village is situated off Elton Head Road in Rainhill to the south-west of St Helens. The development consists of 206 bungalows and flats with communal facilities and a mixture of tenures completed in 2004.

St Helens came to prominence in the 18th and 19th centuries as an important centre in the coal mining industry. Before this it was well known for cotton and in particular sail making. Today whilst still very much a commercial town all that is left of its original industrial heritage is the Pilkington Glass works which still produces all of the flat glass in the country.
