Jubilee Court is situated off Mill Road to the west of the town centre and consists of 61 flats with communal facilities completed in 2002. The station is about a mile. Facilities include a resident manager and alarm service, residents' lounge, laundry, guest facilities, car parking and garden. Worthing is set just below the South Downs and is the largest seaside resort west of Brighton, dominating this part of the south coast with its fine beaches and over four miles of promenades. There is good shopping and easy access to the local centres of Ferring, Goring-by-Sea and South Lancing by bus or train. The town has two golf courses and a leisure centre. As with its more illustrious neighbour, Brighton, the hitherto small fishing village of Worthing expanded after a Royal visit in the late 18th century. There are many interesting places nearby to visit including Cissbury Ring to the south of South Downs Way, an old Iron-Age fort reoccupied in the fifth century, and Chanctonbury Ring to the north. There is also Parham near Storrington, the C18th Woods Mill at Henfield and Highdown Gardens to the west of the town. To the east at Shoreham is the Marlipins Museum dating from the C12th and older than many of its exhibits. A little further afield is Bignor Roman Villa and the Chalk Pits Museum at Amberley. The Saxon Church of St Mary's at Sompting Abbots is well worth a visit with its 'Rhenish helm'.
