Arundel : Arundel lies in the Arun valley and is dominated by the famous castle first built by the Earl of Shrewsbury to guard the Arun gap after the conquest. As with other castles much of what you see today has been rebuilt but the castle is nonetheless magnificent with its original keep and glorious views from the battlements. To the west is the fourteenth century Church of St Nicholas and the Roman Catholic Cathedral which dates from 1869. The town today is very attractive with a long and winding high street higher up the hillside where you will find the Norfolk Arms. There are good shops and an extensive range of boutiques, restaurants and bars. In the park stands Hiorn's Tower, built in the late eighteenth century of flint and stone in the style of a medieval hunting tower. Facilities : Residents have exclusive use ot two tennis courts and a community hall and sixteen acres of grounds. Tortington Manor : Tortington Manor was once a girls school and is now an attractive development of cottages, town houses and apartments in beautifully maintained gardens and grounds. It is situated in the hamlet of Tortington about a mile to the south of Arundel. Tenure: Leasehold General Information: Tortington Manor is managed by Tortington Residents Association If you want to call the management company direct call , or if you want to contact the development direct, call |
