David Davies House: David Davies House is situated off Wyndham Road to the northwest of the town and consists of 19 apartments completed in 1983. Barry Docks station is within half a mile. In the late 19th century new docks were built and this led to considerable expansion with the export of coal. Porthkerry Country Park covers more than 225 acres and is to the west of the town. Barry Island is joined to the mainland by a causeway and is popular with holidaymakers.
