Deganwy Quay : Deganwy Quay Marina is set in beautiful surroundings on the Conwy estuary with views of the castle. Deganwy : Deganwy is a large village south of Llandudno where the Plantagenets originally had their stronghold until Edward 1 decided to move across the estuary to Conwy. The 13th century fortified town of Conwy, with its imposing drum towers of the castle beautifully refected in the estuary, is on the opposite bank to Deganwy. The town has good local shopping with the larger centre of Llandudno just a short drive. Llandudno still retains its Edwardian heritage with considerable character and many shops have canopies and verandas. The promenade fronts a beautiful crescent shaped bay and is no doubt one of the finest in Wales.
