Tisbury is an ancient settlement and there was a Saxon monastery here around the late 7th century and probably north of the present church. This was named Tissebury, or Tysse‘s Burgh‘ and gave the village its future name. Today there are a good range of shops and acres of unspoilt countryside surrounding the town. Facilities : These include estate management services. The Old Brewery occupies a central position in Tisbury set back from the north bank of the River Nadder and next to the church of St John the Baptist. It is a listed building and Brenlie Properties have now created 22 individual apartments to a high standard and some with fine southerly views.
