Badsworth Gardens is set in a delightful wooded setting to the south of Newbury a little more than half a mile from local shops and about a mile and a half from the A34 bypass. Altogether there are 27 cottages and apartments mostly surrounding an attractive garden square with garages tucked into the corners so as not to dominate the views. Most of the properties have either a conservatory or balcony. The local shops are about half a mile.

Facilities include a resident estate manager and emergency alarm system and attractive gardens and grounds. All the garages have electric doors, light and power points.

Newbury is mentioned in Domesday as having two mills and its history goes back to the Romans but it is largely known for its divisions in the Civil War culminating in two battles there. Donnington Castle stands bereft to the north of the town. The town's most famous patron was John Smallwood who led over a hundred men at the battle of Flodden in 1513. John Smallwood, also known as Jack of Newbury, did much for the town and was reckoned to be extremely wealthy through the cloth trade.

Tenure: Leasehold. There are no ground rents.
