Worle today is part of Weston-super-Mare to the west of the M25 and is an ancient settlement mentioned in Domesday. Once a small fishing village, like many other coastal resorts, Weston-super-Mare is now a major holiday town below the severn estuary with seaside attractions such as piers, boat trips, aquarium, winter gardens and sailing facilities. There are fairs and carnivals in the summer and the golf course is just to the east of Worle.
