Hollins Hall: The main house at Hollins Hall acts as the club house of the village and has a panelled entrance hall with a central staircase and large lantern. The bar and bistro, situated at the front of the house, overlooks the terraced gardens and has become a popular meeting place throughout the day. The terrace at the rear has magnificent views over Nidderdale and is a natural location for summer barbeques and parties.

Facilities: At the front of the house is the library holding a large collection of both fiction and non-fiction books, widely used by the residents. The main office adjacent to the front door is where residents can call on members of staff to assist them in any concierge services they may require throughout the day and night. The health and well-being centre is contained in a glazed extension of the main house with the ever popular swimming pool. The exercise room containing gym equipment is adjacent and where exercise classes take place.

To the east of the house is Tetley Court and in its lower ground floor is the hairdressing suite, treatment room and two overnight guest suites for visitors.
 

Harrogate is famous for its crocuses which in the Spring can be seen on the Stray - a 200 acre common from which a path links the Valley Gardens with Harlow Carr Gardens; now part of the Royal Horticultural Society following the merger with the Northern Horticultural Society in 2001. The gardens stand on what was once the part of the Forest of Knaresborough, an ancient royal hunting ground and springs of sulphur were discovered here in 1743.
