Old Town Farm is ideally situated being a short level walk from the centre of Great Missenden, a bustling village surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty. Old Town Farm retains a rural atmosphere with its courtyard of old barns and fine distant views. Altogether there are 15 two and three-bedroom houses, each with its own conservatory and garage, and one two-bedroom apartment in the farmhouse. Ten of the cottages overlook the main garden square, which is attractively landscaped with shrub borders and retained trees.

Facilities : These include a resident manager and emergency alarm service, attractive gardens and grounds and swimming pavilion. It is just a short walk to the shops.

Great Missenden : Founded in Saxon times, Great Missenden is an attractive village close to the Misbourne River. Described in 1862 as ‘delightfully situated in a valley on the high road from London‘, it sits within a Conservation Area, surrounded by Green Belt land. One-time host to a dozen coaching inns, Great Missenden was an important stopping-off point on the main route to London. The village is most famous for its Abbey, founded in 1133 as a religious house for Augustinian canons. In 1985 the Abbey was gutted by fire. It has since been restored and is now an educational establishment. Another building of historic interest is the 14th century Church of St Peter and St Paul, which is situated just outside the village. It has a Norman font, and a splendid array of gargoyles and monuments.
