Forum Court is set in landscaped gardens and comprises 59 apartments on six floors accessible by both stairs and lifts. Ample parking for Owners and visitors is provided in two private courtyards.

The Court offers a range of visiting services including hairdressing, chiropody, prescription delivery, dentists and opticians. The local Post Master calls to deal with pensions and other post-office matters and the town centre library provides a stock of reading material.

Facilities: To compliment the individual private apartments or bungalows, at every Court there are extensive communal facilities including a very comfortable lounge, a dining room and a meeting room and all Courts have a guest suite available for Owners’ visitors or prospective purchasers who may be considering a move to the Court. All Courts have attractive gardens and landscaped areas which are carefully maintained.

Staffing and services available are greater than in traditional sheltered housing. A Manager ensures the smooth administration of the Court and in addition, a team of Duty Managers operate a rota system , 24 hours a day. A larger team of Housekeeping Assistants provide one-and-a-half hours of domestic help to each single Owner or couple every week as well as keeping the communal areas clean and tidy.

At each Court, a comfortable dining room provides a substantial meal every day, usually at lunch time at a modest price for everyone who wishes to have it. Meals can be taken to Owners who are unwell. Help can be offered to provide other meals and snacks if required.

One of Southport's major attractions is the Botanical centre and it is also renowned for its elegant spacious tree-lined boulevard offering access to a multitude of shops and amenities. The Atkinson Art Gallery is well worth visiting and also the speciality shops in the Cambridge Arcade where there is a bust of Dan Dare, dedicated to the creators of the children‘s weekly ‘Eagle‘ in Southport in 1950 and donated by the Eagle Society in April 2000. Nearby is the restored Christ Church which had to be redeveloped in the late 1980‘s as the foundations partially collapsed. As the church leaflet proclaims it is not just for Sundays and there is a full and varied programme of events in the worship centre.
