The Grange was completed by Bovis Retirement Homes in 1992 and consists of 31 cottages, apartments and bungalows grouped informally at the northern end of the high street. It is a short level walk to all the shops and amenities in the town.

Facilities include a resident manager and emergency alarm system. There is limited parking within the development and it is a short walk to the station and shops.

Moreton-in-Marsh is situated at the crossroads of two important routes, north-south (A429 Cirencester to Warwick) and east-west (A44 Oxford to Worcester). The redrawing of the boundaries in 1928 resulted in only three shires meeting at Moreton in Marsh. It is doubtful if the area around was ever marshland and it is more likely that ‘Marsh‘ is a corruption of ‘Merche‘ the ancient name for a boundary. The town with its wide elegant tree lined High Street grew primarily when it was an important coaching stage and also the centre of a linen weaving industry that grew up after the decline of the woollen trade.

Tenure: Leasehold
