Jacqueline du Pre Court is situated close to shops off Somerset Street in Kemp Town to the south-west of the city centre. The development consists of flats with communal facilities and was completed in 1991.

Elsewhere there are imposing 19th century hotels, an electric railway, art galleries, fine parks and of course a long shingle beach.
