Cedar Court is a small development of retirement cottages within the grounds of Ridgemede Residential Care Home. The home provides management services to the owners of the cottages and there is an emergency alarm service. The Home's restaurant is open to owners and other services are available by arrangement. The development is situated on the outskirts of Bishop's Waltham but it is only a short distance to the shops.

Facilities include a communal lounge with guest facilities, resident manager and emergency alarm service, laundry and gardens.

Bishop's Waltham is a small town with many Georgian houses and famous for the ruined palace of the medieval seat of the Bishops of Winchester which was damaged in the Civil War. Bishop William of Wykeham who founded Winchester College died here at the beginning of the fifteenth century. Today the town centre is by-passed and has a one way system with a huge car park in the middle allowing easy access to the shops, pubs and restaurants. Nearby is Marwell Zoological Park and the River Hamble flows south of the town to Southampton Water.
