Colehaven Cottages are intended for those who are still happy to cook and shop for themselves, but who would like the security of a live-in Warden in a cottage on site. The cottages are bright and comfortable, each with a living room, bedroom, bathroom and wc. They are furnished with carpets and curtains, but residents are asked to bring their own pictures, ornaments and furniture to their new home. Each cottage also has a small garden area, which the gardener will maintain if residents do not wish to do so. The cottages are for single accommodation only.

Colehaven has a large room known as the Trust Room which is available for special occasions such as resident‘s birthdays. The Warden or Deputy Warden is on call 24 hours a day, and generally acts as a good neighbour and each resident is visited every morning. The warden may carry out small errands - collecting prescriptions or taking a resident to the doctor or shops. The Warden‘s cottage is linked to the resident‘s cottages by a call system. Coleshaven is within a short walking distance from the centre of the small market town of Coleshill where the local doctor, dentist, banks and the Post Office can be found. There ia a regular bus service to Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham.

Coleshill is well placed for the road and rail network in the south of England. It is just off the M6 to the east of Birmingham and Junction 4 is less than two miles away and Junction 8 of the M42 is also about two miles away. Birmingham city centre is about 11 miles. Trains from Marston Green to Birmingham take about 15 minutes and Birmingham International Airport is about six miles.
