Minerva House : Minerva House is situated off South Eastern Road close to the High Street and consists of 28 flats completed in 1990.

Ramsgate : Ramsgate is situated just below Broadstairs and Margate and derives its name from 'raven's gap' referring to a way through the chalk cliffs. Sandy beaches have made this a popular resort and it is also a fishing port. Today Cross-Channel ferries run to Ostend and Dunkirk and the harbour is one of the busiest on the south coast. The town developed originally with the influx of holiday-makers in the 19th century having earlier been popularized by a visit from George IV.

The architect Augustus Pugin built himself a house here and also designed St Augustine's Roman Catholic abbey church. Pegwell Bay lies immediately to the south and there are various attractions in the town including a model village on the clifftop promenade and a collection of historic cars in West Cliff Hall. There is also a small local museum in the public library.
