Easenhall is a small village and lies midway between Coventry and Rugby. Rugby was mentioned in Domesday as Rocheberie and had a mill. It probably derived its name from 'Hroca's fortified place' and is about ten miles south-west of Coventry close to the confluence of the Rivers Swift and Avon. It was always an important regional centre but came to prominence in the nineteenth century as an engineering town. Rugby School was founded in the sixteenth century and is famous for its headmaster, Dr Thomas Arnold, and for giving its name to the international game of Rugby football which the British still excell at. Facilities : These include a resident manager and emergency alarm service, communal lounge, guest facilities, laundry, restaurant, conservatory and gardens. Access : Rugby is equidistant between the M6 and M45 motorways with the M6 at Junction 1 and the M45 at Junction 1 about three miles away. Coventry is about ten miles and Lutterworth seven miles. Easenhall is about three miles. Fast trains to London (Euston) take just over an hour.
