Macmillan Court is situated off Rayners Lane within walking distance of shops and was completed in 1989. Facilities include a resident manager and emergency alarm service and gardens. There is parking within the development. Harrow is mentioned as Herges in Domesday and probably derived its name from 'heathen shrine or temple'. The original settlement developed on a hill and was the site of pagan worship before the Saxons arrived. Today St Marys Church marks the spot. The towns position makes it a focal point for the area but its expansion did not really begin until the 19th century when it became even more of a fashionable area to live. Harrow stations are all on the Metropolitan lines and Harrow and Wealdstone is on the Bakerloo line. Harrow is surrounded by country parks and there is a good range of leisure facilities in the vicinity. The famous public school was founded in the 16th century and is where Winston Churchill went to school. A frequent bus service stopping just outside Brandreth Court gives access to the centre of Harrow with its shops and amenities and the surrounding district. Tenure: Leasehold General Information: Macmillan Court is managed by Stadium Housing Association, Olympic Office Centre, 8 Fulton Road, Wembley, Middlesex HA9 0NU Tel. 020 8900 0185 If you want to call the management company direct call , or if you want to contact the development direct, call |
