HISTORY

Tunbridge Wells is an elegant Georgain spa-town founded in 1606 and was highly popular in the C18th when Beau Nash, who had done much to promote Bath, became master of ceremonies. It owes its name to its original square clay tiled pavement which once covered the walks of the promenade.
