Harrow is mentioned as Herges in Domesday and probably derived its name from 'heathen shrine or temple'. The famous public school was founded in the 16th century and is where Winston Churchill went to school. A frequent bus service stopping just outside Brandreth Court gives access to the centre of Harrow with its shops and amenities and the surrounding district.
