Redhill : Redhill is a recent settlement and seems to derive its name from 'red slope' and lies just to the east of Reigate. In the 2nd World War its airfield was an important RAF station linking with Biggin Hill to the northeast. London Gatwick is about seven miles to the south on the A23.
