Barum Court is situated off Litchdon Street within walking distance of shops and was completed in 1988.

Facilities Include a resident manager and emergency alarm service, lift, residents' lounge, laundry, guest facilities and garden.

Barnstaple is mentioned in Domesday as Barnestapla and had a mill. It is the main market town of North Devon situated on the River Taw about 26 miles from Okehampton and received its charter from King Athelstan in the 10th century. It probably derives its name from 'post or pillar of the battle-axe'. In the 18th century the town was well known for its pottery and was once a busy port but shipping declined with silting of the river, road improvements and the coming of the railways in the 19th century.

Tenure: Leasehold
