Fullersgate is situated off Fullers Close behind the High Street and consists of 15 bungalows and flats built by Anglia Secure Homes and completed in 1990.

Facilities include a visiting house manager and emergency alarm service, residents' lounge and gardens. Shops are within walking distance.

Kelvedon is mentioned in Domesday as Chelleuadana and belonged to Westminster Abbey. It had two mills and lay on the site of a large Belgic village and Roman settlement. For much of the Middle Ages the village remained a small farming community and whilst Ferring and Inworth, hamlets to the north and south of the village are mentioned in Speed's Atlas, Kelvedon is not. The village eventually expanded in the late 19th century with the coming of the railways and is now by-passed by the main A12 to the east.
