Froxfield is a village on the A4 about three miles west of Hungerford and about seven miles east of Marlborough close to the Wiltshire/Berkshire border. The River Dun and the Kennet and Avon Canal both flow through the village.

Hungerford is an attractive market town on the old Bath Road south of Junction 14 on the M4. The wide High Street has some fine Georgian houses and a variety of high class shops, including clothing and specialist food shops as well as supermarkets, chemists, banks, a post office and a library. The mainline railway station lies just south of the Kennet and Dun rivers, famous for their trout, which flow through the town. Hungerford was granted fishing rights by John of Gaunt in the 14th century and this is celebrated annually at Hocktide, on the Tuesday of Easter week, a colourful ceremony featuring the famous Tutti men.
