To live at Danny House is to be able to forget about the chores of everyday life. Breakfast, lunch and supper are included in the monthly rental and experienced cooks provide varied and interesting menues. Cleaning, lighting, heating, maintenance, water, use of library, billiard-room and laundry, and council-tax are included and there is a staff of nine providing a high level of service. Residents can enjoy the gardens and an estate of 150 acres.
Apartments are provided unfurnished and residents are therefore free to decorate and equip as required. There are separate guest-rooms available for friends and relations to stay which are charged for on a nightly basis. All apartments have a modern en-suite bathroom, television aerial-points, and are equipped for the installation of a telephone, broadband and and satellite TV. Before occupation a refundable deposit of six months rent is required.
It is a unique and civilised way of life shared by the active retired residents of the 28 apartments. The Great Hall is the drawing-room and meals are taken together in the dining-room. A minibus is provided for shopping and cultural visits and there is an essential homely atmosphere.
