Fortrose is on the Moray Firth and lies between Avoch and Rosemarkie on the south east side of the Black Isle. It is thought that the diocese of Ross has existed since the 8th century but the oldest part of the present ruins are 14th century. The cathedral was largely demolished in the 17th century. The town has a good range of shops and services with sporting facilities at the Black Isle Leisure Centre.
Facilities include a house manager, communal lounge, dining room, guest facilities, laundry and garden.
