Retirement Property & Retirement Homes in Rainham
Rainham: Rainham was originally a small village just north of the Thames and was mentioned in Domesday as Raineham thought to mean 'homestead or village of a man called Regna'. It remained an agricultural community for much of the middle ages and by the early 20th century most of the farmland had been turned over to market gardening. With improved communications with London new industries emerged and the town developed into an important commercial centre.
