Retirement Properties Spotlight in Colne

Colne is a market town on the edge of the Pennines iIn an area long settled and the remains of an iron age hillfort can be found on Pendle Hill above the town. It lies about six miles northwest of Burnley close to the Yorkshire border and beneath Pendle Hill from where witches were tried and executed in the 17th century. Today little of the cotton industry now survives but new industries have recently prospered.
