Ditchling : Ditchling is a traditional Sussex village at the foot of the South Downs surrounded by unspoilt countryside and dominated by Ditchling Beacon on the South Downs Way. Many famous people have settled in Ditchling over the centuries including Anne of Cleves who put her pay-off from Henry VIII to good use by acquiring Wing‘s Place, which remains one of the best examples of a Timber-framed Tudor House. Over the past hundred years the village has long been associated with the Arts & Crafts Movement and this influence is present in many of the buildings.
