Retirement Properties Spotlight in Puddletown

Puddletown : Puddletown is mentioned in Domesday as Piretone and had two mills and probably derived its name from 'Farmstead on the River Piddle'. It lies about five miles northeast of Dorchester with the main A35 by-passing the village to the north. To the southwest and either side of the Piddle is excellent walking country with a large expanse of open heath which stretches down towards Wareham.
