Dents Cottages consist of ten cottages originally built in the 19th century and renovated in 1990.

Facilities include non resident management and emergency alarm service and garden.

Winchcombe was once an Anglo-Saxon walled city on the River Isbourne and is mentioned in Domesday as Wicecombe having three mills. The town is surrounded on three sides by hills and its name probably derived from 'curved valley'. It declined in importance in the middle ages and its abbey was destroyed at the Dissolution though the magnificent 15th century St Peter's Church testifies to its former prosperity.

Situated on the Broadway/Stratford-upon-Avon road about eight miles to the north of Cheltenham and with a population of more than 6000 Winchcombe has good local shops with supermarkets, bakers, butchers, chemists, post office, banks and doctors.
