Oakfield House was built by Taylor Woodrow in 1986 and consists of fifty flats within walking distance of shops in Leamington Spa. There are also regular buses to the town centre. Binswood Avenue is one of the finest avenues in Leamington Spa and is a short walk from Beauchamp Gardens and the Parade. Nearby are the avenues of Hamilton Terrace and Holly Walk built in 1829.

Facilities include a resident manager and emergency alarm service, communal lounge, guest facilities, laundry and gardens. Local shops are within walking distance.

Leamington Spa was mentioned as Lamistone in Domesday with two mills and its name derives from 'farmstead on the River Leam'. Its iron and salt springs came to notice in the 18th century and gradually the town became a fashionable Regency Spa with Queen Victoria bestowing 'Royal' in the 1840s.

Today Leamington is a thriving and prosperous town with a full range of modern shopping and leisure facilities. The Royal Priors shopping centre with its covered pedestrian Mall has a wide selection of specialist shops and department stores. Close to the town centre are many parks with recreational facilities such as golf, swimming, bowling and tennis. Near Jephson Gardens is the Royal Spa Centre which hosts plays, musicals and other events and opposite is the Royal Pump Room where waters from underground springs are still used to treat rheumatic ailments. Close by on the other side of the River Leam is the library and art gallery.

Leamington Spa is about two miles from Warwick and about five miles from Coventry. The M40 at Junction 15 is less than four miles and the M45 at Dunchurch, which connects with the M1, is about ten miles. Fast trains to London (Paddington) take about an hour and a half.
