Fig Tree Court consists of 14 high quality apartments within the grounds of The Larches - a Care Home in Tiverton, Devon. The development provides a safe, secure environment for the retired and over 55's community but with the benefit of independence. The development looks over a stretch of the historic Grand Western Canal within a quiet and unspoilt Country Park and Local Nature reserve owned and managed by Devon County Council with free access all year round.

We have designed these retirement apartments carefully, to express an individual character of their very own. There are bright communal seating areas and a landing room for meeting fellow residents. There is a car parking space for each apartment.

Tiverton was mentioned in Domesday as Tovretone and belonged to the King. Cranmore Castle is just outside the town on Exeter Hill and is an old iron age hill fort and an English Heritage museum. The Grand Western Canal lies just outside the town but originally it was the two rivers, the Lowman and the Exe, which provided for the town's prosperity. The rivers were the power source for the woollen trade and the town's many fine old merchants houses testify to the wealth generated.

In the grounds of Bickleigh Castle is a 6th century chapel and on a small hill behind are the remains of a Saxon 'motte' watchtower. Today the town has a varied selection of shops and many places to visit including the historic Pannier Market.
