Lynwood is situated close to shops off Rise Road in Sunninghill and consists of 44 flats with communal facilities completed in 1965.

Facilities include a resident manager and alarm service, lift, laundry, guest facilities and garden.

Ascot is a small town about four miles east of Bracknell and famous for its race course. It has a good range of shops catering for everyday needs. To the north-east is excellent walking country in the large open expanse of Windsor Great Park.

The Royal Ascot race meeting is held in the third week of June and was started by Queen Anne in the early eighteenth century. Today the monarch still attends and is driven down the course in a horse-drawn carriage before the racing starts. The two main races are the Ascot Gold Cup and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes.
