Marton Dale Court is situated off Dixons Bank close to the centre of Marton and consists of 40 flats completed in 2000. There is parking to the side and rear of the development.

Marton lies just south of Middlesbrough off the main A174 and about two miles from the city centre. Middlesbrough itself is a creation of the 19th century when following the Union in the early part of the 18th century the north-east of England expanded considerably utilising the natural resources of iron and coal. The town is situated on the south bank of the River Tees and was originally part of the North Riding of Yorkshire. The North York Moors National Park is a short drive away.

Whilst there were still only a few farmhouses in the 19th century the earliest recorded form of Middlesbrough's name is Mydilsburgh and pre-dates the Norman conquest. The church of St Hilda of Middleburg was given to Whitby in the 12th century eventually succumbing to Henry VIII's dissolution of the monasteries. Today Middlesbrough remains a major commercial and residential centre.
