Mill Vale Lodge : Mill Vale Lodge is situated off Guithavon Street close to its junction with Mill Lane and a short distance from the shops in the High Street.

Facilities: These include a resident manager and emergency alarm system and it is just a short walk to the shops. There is limited parking at the development.

Access : Witham is about midway between Colchester and Chelmsford. Maldon is about five miles and Braintree six miles. Fast trains to London (Liverpool Street) take about 45 minutes.

Witham : Witham is mentioned in Domesday with two mills, three beehives and 150 pigs and derived its name from 'homestead near a river-bend'. The town has some elegant and ancient buildings in the High Street. Nearby there are many interesting places to visit including an ancient moated farmstead known as Cressing Temple, one of the earliest foundations of Templar lands in Britain. It is also well known for its impressive medieval barley and wheat barns.

Faulkbourne Hall lies about two miles north of the town and has beautiful 15th century brickwork. Today the town has a good range of shops and other amenities including the Whetmead Nature Reserve off Maldon Road and at the end of Blackwater Lane.

Tenure: Leasehold
