Richmond Village: Richmond Village looks east across the Cotswold Hills on the edge of the Vale of Gloucester. Altogether there are 36 self-contained 'Richmond Suites' where needs are provided for in a comprehensive package covering all meals and beverages, laundry, energy and a daily maid service. The suites are sold on long leases and have direct access to all the amenities provided within the Centre. The 18 independent apartments also benefit from the services available in the Care Centre.

Directions: From the A417 take the B4070 at Birdlip and after about a mile turn right signposted Painswick. At the Junction with the A46 turn left and in about two miles you will enter Painswick. Proceed through the village passing the church on your left and the entrance to Richmond Village will be found in a short distance on the left.

Painswick: Painswick is mentioned in Domesday as having four mills and is set high above the valley in the cotswold hills north of Stroud. The town was once an important wool centre and the many fine Geoginan houses testify to its eighteenth century prosperity. St Mary's churchyard is famous for its many yew trees and the 'clipping ceremony' which takes place in the autumn. There are many interesting places to visit nearby including the Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust about five miles north of Berkeley Castle where Edward II was murdered. Also the next door village of Sheepscombe with its memorable cricket pitch.
