Clube de Repousa Casa dos Leoes: The Repousa Club is located to the west of Lisbon in the Carnaxide area and is a multiple leisure and supporting centre for retired people over the age of sixty-five. The residential accommodation consists of fifty-seven studio and one bedroom apartments in three separate buildings forming three sides of a square with the original house fronting the road. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and mainly laid to lawn with many apartments opening directly onto terraces. The secure underground car park is approaced via a secondary access. There are excellent views to the south and east towards Lisbon.

Facilities: There are a wide range of services available with multiple living rooms, breakfast and dining rooms, libraries, exercise rooms, bars, swimming pool, cleaning services, laundry and medical and nursing support. At night there are always three people in the club - the receptionist and two special assistants and a doctor visits once a week. The companies nearest nursing home is about ten minutes away. There is a prayer room beyond the reception hall and an underground car park.

Carnaxide: Carnaxide is situated to the west of Lisbon about twenty minutes drive by car from the city. Lisbon has always been a cosmopolitan city with many nationals especially British, German and French looking after their mercantile interests. In the Middle Ages the city gained much in wealth and splendour from the country's growing empire. Today there are still large expatriate communities to the west of the city in Estoril and Cascais on the coast.
