Buxton is an attractive village on the River Bure with local shops and a garage. The Church of St Andrews lies off Mill Street. It was here in 1788 that Thomas Cubitt was baptised, becoming a journeyman carpenter and making his fortune by building much of 19th century London. Nearby is a stone outside the Friends‘ Meeting House commemorating Anna Sewell, author of ‘Black Beauty‘.

Buxton is situated off the main A140 Norwich to Cromer road about ten miles north of Norwich and twelve miles south of Cromer. Coltishall is about four miles and North Walsham eight miles. Aylsham is about five miles. Fast trains from Norwich to London (Liverpool Street) take about two hours and ten minutes.

Facilities include Estate Management Services only.

Buxton is mentioned in the Domesday Book as having a mill and a church and both have undergone major re-development; the church in the 19th century and the Mill in the 21st. The working mill continued throughout the ages until it finally ceased production in 1970 when it was turned into a Tea Room and Craft Centre. Today it has been transformed into nine spacious apartments each with views of either the millrace or millpond.
