Spalding Husbands Almshouses consists of ten one-bedroom bungalows completed in 2008.

Facilities include estate management services.

Spalding is a Fenland town south-east of The Wash and situated on the River Welland. Its name probably derives from 'dwellers in Spald' and in Domesday was known as 'Spallinge'. It is set in a rich agricultural area and is famous for its flowers and bulbs providing more than half the bulbs grown in Britain. The annual Flower Parade attracts many visitors. The 14th century Wykeham Chapel lies about three miles north-east of the town and Ayscoughfee Hall dates from the 15th century and now houses a museum of British Birds and is also the tourist information centre. There are six supermarkets in the town including Tescos, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Co-Op and Marks and Spencer Food Hall.
