Tadmarton Park Park is a unique country development on the Oxfordshire and Warwickshire borders and is approached by a long drive off the Bloxham Road. From the west courtyard opposite Cannards Close and to the north of Tadmarton House there are wonderful views stretching, on a fine day, for eight miles into the Warwickshire countryside. Approached from winding lanes the long entrance drive takes you to the West Court at Tadmarton Park which is constructed of brick and the distinctive yellow-brown iron stone from local quarries at Wroxton. Nearby is the village of Bloxham which has a number of good shops.

Facilities at the development are limited but there are excellent walks and the gardens and grounds are managed by the Residents Management Company. Some of the properties back onto open fields and have fine views.

Banbury is the nearest town to Tadmarton in this north-eastern section of the Cotswolds and nothing now remains of the old cross mentioned in the nursery rhyme. The present Banbury Cross is a 19th century replica of one destroyed by Puritans in 1602. Elizabeth I, Lady Godiva and a member of the Fiennes family from nearby Broughton Castle have been variously identified as the ‘fine lady‘ in the ‘ride‘ of the nursery rhyme. A wide range of leisure activities can be found close by including Tadmarton Heath Golf Club and Broughton Castle featured in 'Shakespeare in Love' is excellent for cultural parties.
